Kirk is currently co-orchestrating a large symphonic work by the visionary composer Meredith Monk, to be conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas.

On 9/11/02, Nurock’s “Will there Really Be A Morning?” was performed by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus on the official Brooklyn Borough concert of commemoration, with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, cond. by John Mauceri.

Mr. Nurock's arrangements appear on the recent CD by Janis Siegel (of Manhattan Transfer), "I Wish You Love" on Telarc [CD 83551]. Featured on the CD are Cedar Walton, David "Fathead" Newman & Tom Harrell.

Nurock recently conducted a “The 23 Constellations of Joan Miro.” a 1-hr work by composer Bobby Previte, now available on Tzadik [TZ 7072]. Members of the all-star ensemble include Jane Ira Bloom, Wayne Horvitz and Lew Soloff.
